Optical Learning Experience Designer
Turn real-world dispensing know-how into modern training. Craft lessons, mobile modules, scenario-based practice, and quick job aids to help learners and practices improve performance with OTI.
About the Role
Optical Training Institute (OTI) is hiring an Optical Learning Experience Designer to create training that drives skill development and measurable on-the-job performance for optical practices. You’ll leverage OTI’s content library and author network to shape learning that is clear, concise, and job-realistic and you’ll convert lessons into interactive practice (decision points, branching scenarios, troubleshooting flows, “what would you do next?” moments) built for mobile and short sessions.
You’ll also write and record new multimedia content when technology changes or gaps emerge (short videos, webinars, podcasts, micro-lessons). In addition, you’ll review content from authors and SMEs to maintain accuracy, consistency, and a strong instructional voice, and you’ll support learners and practice teams by answering content and course-experience questions and troubleshooting common issues.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced optical professional who is also an excellent teacher, trainer, and communicator. We’re looking for someone who can translate real-world optical expertise into clear, modern, skill-focused learning so teams can perform confidently on the job.
